Le Frique

About:

Le Frique is an audiophile music enthusiast from the middle of Hessen who loves to consume every kind of good sounding media which apprehends body and mind. Au contraire, Le Fique has a deep bond to numerary what sometimes could be interpreted as some kind of a crazy quirk, but is of course the reason of his addiction to the freaky music...

Le Frique has been inspired very early by every kind of electronically touched music. In the early 80s it was synth-pop and some old disco tracks he loved to cut on his double tape-deck to first mixtapes for private use and fun. Later piqued by a local radio show with later grandmasters of Techno and House Sven Väth, Chris Liebing, Frank Lorber and more he started buying the first vinyl records with his friends in the legendary Downtown Records Store and some cheap Technics SL1210 MKII Replicas with a simple Gemini-2-Channel-Mixer for mixing their own mixtapes. From there on it was a small step to the first parties organized by the big sphere of friends.

The first own public DJ experience was one of the legendary Höchstfrequenz-Parties. Höchstfrequenz was founded by two close friends of Le Frique and a circuit of music and art loving friends, organizing, promoting and performing their own parties for fun and not commercial incentive because of a lag for good sound in the home base except some rarely spread other combines with the same spur for good music like UNDERtheGROUND and Leitwerk. After some very lovely Open Air Events with Höchstfrequenz and collaboration with UNDERtheGROUND at Quadrat Club came the sleeping beauty for Höchstfrequenz. The connection spread up to Berlin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Stuttgart, Hamburg and the home base in the middle of Hessen and had each for themselves to find their own way to create, perform and consume music at their actual location. New collaborations have been found and the formerly Höchstfrequenz-Crew has evolved in creating their own style of hypnotizing and impulsive sound of electronic music. Le Frique likes to present his sound side of the Force on this journey thru Music, Optic & Tools...
